Alternative Education Staff

This is my 22nd year in education and my 7th year with the Wimberley schools. I grew up in Sabinal, Texas where I graduated from high school in 1980. I received my degree in History and P.E. from Abilene Christian University in 1985. I completed my Masters Degree in Education as well as my Mid-Management Certification in 1999. I taught History and coached Tennis for the first 15 years of my career. For the last 7 years I have worked as the administrator for the WISD alternative programs and have also continued to coach tennis. My wife (Dee) and I have been married for 20 years and we have two children. Matt is a freshman at Baylor and Sara is a junior at Wimberley High School.

Brenda Bishop

Greetings Texans!  I am Brenda Bishop and have been a Teaching Assistant with our district for over fifteen years. Wimberley has been my home for over twenty-five years. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State this summer with a BA in English.  I will complete my English teacher certification in graduate school this December and look forward to implementing the latest English teaching strategies. This is my fourth year at the Annex and I am thankful to be working with such a great team. I have two grown children who both graduated from WHS and I will be married this summer on 7-7-07 to Bassist/Astrophysicist Chuck Morrow. My goal in AEP is to help students make better choices. Have a great year!!
