Human Resources is not reponsible for the selection of candidates in the hiring process. The hiring manager will review the incoming applications at the Human Resources Department, determining those applicants that meet the basic criteria for the position. In-turn the hiring manager and/or a member of the Peer Review Committee will contact the applicant directly to schedule an interview. Once the interview process is complete, the hiring manager will contact the applicant(s) to share the end result of the interview process.

Due to the volume of applications received it is not possible for each applicant to be contacted regarding an application that may have been submitted to WISD. It is recommended that applicants visit the WISD website for current openings and maintain an active application on file.

Wimberley ISD accepts applications year round. Applications are reviewed and considered for all postings where the applicant meets the minimum qualifications and requirements. Applications that are not filled out completely or that do not have the supporting documentation attached, as specified on the application, will not be considered. Applications are kept on file for 6 months.  After the 6 month time frame a new application will need to be completed.

Pay Scale

 


Salaries for Professional, Paraprofessionals and Auxiliary employees is calculated based on the minimum salary on the salary schedule, with 1 percent for each year of exact experience up to 10 years (10%). Experience not in the exact field is calculated for every two (2) years of experience you are given one year of experience, again not to exceed 10 years and/or 10% of the minimum salary. WISD does not bring employees in at the mid-point and/or maximum salaries.

 

Teachers, Nurses and Librarians are brough in utilizing the established step scale.
